- Assistant training
Gain the clinical experience, team preparation and expert support to introduce intravenous and oral moderate sedation into your dental practice.
Anxiety, lengthy appointments and invasive procedures can limit what patients are willing—or able—to accept.
For the dentist, that can mean interrupted treatment, additional appointments, referred cases and unnecessary stress for the entire clinical team. IV sedation gives appropriately selected patients a more comfortable path to care—and gives you greater control over the clinical environment.
Every participant individually manages a minimum of 20 sedation patients. These are not shared cases and they are not observation-only experiences.

The full IV Sedation Program is designed for dentists seeking the education and supervised clinical training required to develop IV moderate sedation skills. The IV Sedation Refresher is for dentists who have already completed approved parenteral moderate sedation training and need to refresh their knowledge, review current practices and maintain continuing education requirements.
The curriculum progresses from sedation fundamentals through patient evaluation and clinical care. Topics include medical emergencies, emergency drugs and equipment, patient evaluation, IV sedation concepts, pharmacology, co-existing disease physiology, local anaesthesia, nitrous oxide, IV sedation complications and management, and the clinical application of sedation.
The Ti-Max clinical training takes place in its equipped facility, so participants do not need to obtain a facility permit simply to complete the clinical training at Ti-Max. Requirements for subsequently providing IV sedation in your own practice are governed by your applicable regulatory authority.
No. Regulatory approval and requirements vary by jurisdiction. Participants are responsible for confirming the requirements of their applicable dental regulatory authority and ensuring they meet the requirements to provide sedation within their practice.
Yes. Because IV sedation is regulated, participants must satisfy applicable professional and regulatory requirements. These can include requirements established by the dentist’s provincial regulatory authority, attendance requirements, mandatory live-patient cases and required certifications.
